We measure the compressed bytes your page actually transfers, then apply the Sustainable Web Design (SWD) model via the Green Web Foundation's open-source library. That makes the figure reliable for tracking change over time and comparing pages measured the same way — but it assumes average grid intensity, ignores embodied carbon, and is not a substitute for GHG Protocol accounting. Our methodology page sets out exactly what we measure and where the number stops being reliable.
Not at all. Our analysis is out-of-band — our servers perform the scan independently using a headless browser. It has zero impact on your actual site visitors, load times, or SEO.
Each URL you add to your dashboard counts as one site. You can monitor multiple pages from the same domain (e.g. example.com, example.com/pricing, example.com/about) or spread your quota across different client domains — it's up to you. The Starter plan supports up to 25 sites; the Pro plan supports up to 100.
Each report covers a domain-level carbon rating, a per-page breakdown of CO₂ and data transfer, real-world impact comparisons, and tailored recommendations. Reports are generated in one click from your dashboard and delivered directly to any inbox — ready to share with colleagues, leadership, or external stakeholders.
Not on their own. Our figures are modelled estimates based on measured page weight, not audit-grade greenhouse gas accounting, so they are not a substitute for reporting prepared under the GHG Protocol or CSRD/ESRS. What they are good for is evidencing progress over time: share the PDF or CSV with stakeholders and clients, or hand it to your sustainability adviser as one supporting input alongside your other data. Every URL in your dashboard is automatically scanned once every 24 hours. This lets you catch changes in page weight immediately after a deployment or content update, and keeps your trend data accurate.
